Latin Liturgy Association Annual Solemn High Mass

Thanks to the graciousness of Fr. Jason Kulczynski, this year’s LLA Annual Solemn High Mass will be held at St. Philomena Roman Catholic Church, the National Center of the Archconfraternity of St. Philomena, located at 41 E. Baltimore Avenue, Lansdowne, Pa. The Mass will be on Saturday, June 30, at 7:00 p.m., and will fulfill our Sunday obligation. First Holy Communion in the Extraordinary Form

Joshua Torrie, age 8, son of Henry and Susan Torrie, received his First Holy Communion today at the Traditional Latin Mass at St. Paul Church Philadelphia, PA., celebrated by Father Gerald P. Carey.  Joshua is the boat boy on the Latin Mass altar crew and serves alongside his dad  nearly every Sunday.  May God continue to bless this beautiful family and we pray He will keep this pious little boy close to Him always.

The following photos are from the Sung Mass of the Sunday of the Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ at St. Paul Church, 9th and Christian Streets Philadelphia.  The Traditional Latin Mass is celebrated at St. Paul's every Sunday at 12 Noon and at other times on certain holy days of obligation.  Visitors are always welcome and assistance is  available for those new to the Extraordinary Form of the Mass.  For ease of use and the convenience of visitors, Missal booklets are provided for those who do not have one.  For more information, please leave your question in the combox and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Palm Sunday TLM at St. Paul Church Philadelphia Pt. I

Palm Sunday Mass in the Extraordinary Form began at the eccesia collecta, St. Mary Magdalen de Pazzi, the worship site in the parish of St. Paul.  After the blessing and distribution of palm and the proclamation of the Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew (21. 1-9) the procession departed for St. Paul Church for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass including the Singing of the Passion of Our Lord.

The blessed palm is presented to the faithful, who receive it kneeling at the altar rail.  Upon receiving the palm, the faithful kiss it and then kiss the priest's hand.
