Philadelphia Traditional Latin Mass Community Moving to New Location

It is with great joy that the blog administrator informs you that effective June 7, the Philadelphia Traditional Latin Mass Community will move to St. Edmond's Church at 21st Street and Snyder Avenue in South Philadelphia.  St. Edmond's is a worship site within the parish of St. Monica's and has an adjacent, off-street parking lot as well as a rectory suitable for parish activities, receptions, etc.

The move to St. Edmond's will permit the priests who serve this community to make use of all the Mass options available to them, of particular note the use of incense.

The first Traditional Latin  Mass at St. Edmond's will take place on Corpus Christi Sunday and, weather permitting, may include an outdoor procession with the Blessed Sacrament.

Please keep the community in your prayers and spread the word.

Upcoming TLM's in Philadelphia at Holy Trinity 6th & Spruce

On Saturday, November 1 Holy Mass in the Extraordinary Form will be offered at 12 Noon for the Feast of All Saints.  As our chaplain Father Harold McKale has said, although the obligation to attend Mass on this day has been removed due to the fact that it falls on a Saturday, we ought to resist the urges of the world and do what is right to give the Saints in Heaven their due.

Because All Souls falls on a Sunday, the feast is transferred to Monday, November 3.   High Mass with Absolution of the Dead at the Catafalque will be offered at 7 PM.

The usual parking arrangements will be in place.  Please plan to attend one or both of these beautiful liturgies and invite others to join you.
